How can affiliate marketers profit from $43 billion in economic stimulus checks?
It’s not that difficult actually since most people can’t save money so let’s discuss where they will spend that extra money this “Economic Stimulus Holiday Season”. A national retail federation study suggests 41% plan to spend all of it so $18 billion or so up for grabs.
A typical check is $600 and with family status $1200 and kids at $300/ea you can reach into $2000 levels! Wow
Let’s use Circuit City as an example:
- they are allowing shoppers to cash the rebate checks directly at the store which is than converted to a gift card balance. The customer will buy something in the store and hold onto the card. They will remember Circuit City and be sitting at work and wondering if they should buy something else with the credit. So they turn to Google and put in Circuit City deals or Circuit City coupons and now the affiliate sites appear. They click on an organic ranked page in Google or on a Paid advertisement on the right side and transferred to the affiliate site where they click on a Circuit City promotional offer. Thus, the affiliate has just helped the consumer return to Circuit City and ultimately will get a percentage of the Economic Stimulus of that consumer.
Where else will this work?
- Radio Shack has a great strategy
- For a minimum purchase of $50, they will get a 10% discount and balance will be transferred to a debit Mastercard that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
That opens up the field to all consumer products so any more affiliates can profit as well.
- Sears - they do the 10% discount but limit you to spending at Searsm Kart and Land’s End. So by joining the Sears affiliate program at Performics you can play the game as well!
